Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Or on a bend Vert between in chief a tilting helmet and in base a spur-rowel Sable a cavalry sword of the first.  Attached below and to the sides of the shield a Green scroll turned Gold inscribed "YIELD TO US" in Gold letters.

Symbolism
Yellow and green are the colors used for Armor.  The color green also has a canting reference to Washington, known as the "Evergreen State," and home area of the organization.  The helmet, cavalry sword and spur-rowel are symbolic of the long history and tradition of Armor.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 23 July 1976.

That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Washington Army National Guard:  On a wreath of the colors Or and Vert, a raven with wings endorsed issuing out of a ducal coronet all Proper.
